Fans of peaky blinders a television series set in England’s Birmingham city, World War I aftermath, now will have the opportunity to interact with characters from the TV series through its new Virtual Reality game which is set to be launched in 2020. The game is also set to incorporate artificial intelligence to enable the characters to recognize users’ gestures, sound, movements, and body language. The game will give players the opportunity to participate in various tasks ranging from undertaking covet missions to infiltrating street gangs. Through this missions players will be able to virtually visit some of the iconic scenes from the TV series.
Steven Knight the creator of the TV series, emphasized on how the new series’ virtual reality game will be a great new experience to its fans. “I’m really excited by the prospect of ‘Peaky Blinders’ entering new territory. People who love the show will love the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world in such a total way.” He said. The new virtual reality game has also received recognition from the U.K. government, the game developer, Maze Theory, has been awarded funding to enable the development of the game and their cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology. The developer received this award together with Wallace & Gromit group which was recognized due to its immersive storytelling.
