During its launch, Viveport was originally an online store dedicated for HTC Vive Users. However, over the past few years, Viveport has gradually expanded its support to other VR headsets including Oculus Rift. Recently the online retail platform announced its plan of supporting Windows MR headsets, starting 5th June, Windows Mixed Reality headset owners will be able to download compatible titles from Viveport. However, WMR headsets owners will be required to subscribe to Viveport Infinity service costing $12.00 per month.

“This summer, Viveport is expanding to embrace all major PC VR devices including the HTC Vive family, Oculus Rift and Oculus Rift S and soon Windows Mixed Reality and the Valve Index, Viveport Infinity offers all members unparalleled value and choice when it comes to experiencing and discovering VR content. In addition, we’re connecting Viveport developers to an increased audience pool to monetize their content.” Said Viveport president, Rikard Steiber.
